Senior Living Centers

Tips for Senior Living Centers:

When it comes to insurance for senior living centers, there are a lot of coverages to consider.

  1. Changes in Property Coverage – Due to all the natural disasters that have happened around the country recently, there’s an opportunity for changes coming to property insurance rates. Make sure you understand how you would be covered if you were affected by one of these events.
  2. Medical Malpractice Coverage Changes – We’ve seen major changes in medical malpractice since 2015. If you haven’t had someone dive deeply into your policy since then, you could be at an increased risk.
  3. Proper Cyber Coverage – Senior living centers have an unbelievable amount of personal information. Along with that, seniors are some of the most vulnerable when it comes to online predators. Make sure you have quality cyber liability coverage in case of an online attack.
  4. Active Shooter Training – Senior living centers are hubs of activity with lots of people coming and going at all hours of the day. It’s terribly sad that an active shooter is a concern today, but it absolutely is. Make sure that you have an active shooter training with your staff, and discuss potential coverages for this with your risk advisor.
  5. Workers’ Compensation Premiums – Take a look at the incidents or the losses you’ve had that might be influencing your experience MOD factor on your workers’ compensation insurance. A few small changes can make a big difference in your premiums. If you don’t understand how the experience MOD worksheet works, we’ll be happy to assist you.

We love working with senior living centers to help them get a better understanding of the challenges and the risks they face.
